FORA FORM WINS TWO NEW AWARDS FOR DESIGN EXCELLENCE

Fora Form wins two new Awards for Design Excellence

17.03.2009 17.00
Fora Form can now boast two new design awards from the Norwegian Design Council. They are awards number 34 and 35 the company has won for its design, making it the most award-winning design company in Norway.

The CLINT concept
The CLINT concept was very well received, and it has sold for more than NOK 7 million in 2009 since was put into production in June. Sales include a large order for nearly 600 chairs for the new government building in Oslo.
CLINT is a complete chair system that offers great variation in terms of function, style and price. This makes it for a good alternative for many different meeting places from upgraded boardrooms to project and collaboration rooms, team rooms, traditional conference rooms and eating areas.
The system has 12 basic versions, as you have the choice between three different bases, a high or low back, armrests or no armrests. CLINT’s design expresses a mixture of tidy simplicity and playful distinctiveness, while also meeting strict ergonomic requirements.
The design and choice of materials means that it will suit both modern and classic interiors. CLINT has character, but is also based on Scandinavian furniture traditions, and this combination is what will make it a classic.

The jury’s decision on the CLINT concept:
‘Trendy and impressive totality
The innovative strength of this concept lies in the range forming a family. The different models are adapted to different purposes, but are still convincingly interlinked. Entire open-plan offices can be furnished with this range. With its clear common design platform, the furniture will create unity.
The design is consistent and recognisable, even though the models have different functions. The range is efficient to manufacture, as the same press can be used to produce all models. The design is simple, with elegant details such as lumbar support and integrated armrests. We are impressed by the concept's stylistically consistent design, which characterises all the 12 types of chair in this range.’

CLIP CONCEPT
The CLIP concept requires a new way of thinking about flexibility and storage. It therefore takes a little more time to launch this innovative product on the market than was the case for CLINT.

CLIP is a functional stackable table system designed for large meeting rooms such as assembly halls, auditoriums, conference rooms and eating areas.
The tables have unique stacking qualities, and the special transport trolley makes it easy to rearrange or clear a room. The table tops are made from a lightweight material covered with high pressure laminate, and the steel legs are delivered with a chrome finish.
This means that the tables can easily be handled by one person alone. The choice of materials and design ensures that the tables have good durability.
The standard table sizes are 80x80, 120x80, 180x80 and 120x45.
Semicircular and round tables as well as customised sizes are available on request.

The jury’s decision on the CLIP concept:
‘Why has nobody thought of this before?
The design of this product renews perhaps the oldest furniture concept of all: the table. Functions have been simply and intuitively refined in an impressively elegant manner. This concept makes joining or stacking the tables child's play. The fact that the weight has been kept low makes it possible for anyone to handle this table.
The aesthetics are simple and uniform, and convincing even when the table is seen from below. What we have here is a brilliant solution to a challenging problem. The unique solution has been turned into a separate design element and a natural part of the table. This is clear innovation in a distinct design product.’
